Play your way into work with Game Academy
Next month we plan to launch our first Game Academy product: a course on Decision-Making for video game players using RPGs as source material. Want a first look? Join us here.
We love role-playing games and it was so exciting that Google announced that Stadia, its free new online-only cloud gaming service, will feature the latest edition of “Baldur’s Gate” when it launches in November. In Variety magazine, Larian Studios said BG3 will be its biggest production ever.
Game Academy is looking to support and grow the skills of video game players. We’re designing courses and experiences that will provide players with awards and other opportunities based upon sequences of play of commercial games.
Want a career in tech? Join Game Academy and experience a personalised programme based upon the data of game players with a successful career in tech, our expert knowledge and also of our esteemed college of super-users.
Week 1 — do a 1hr daily workout on the Machinarium puzzle game to grow technical problem solving. Week 2 — learn code thinking through programming-based games like Hack n Slash. Week 3 — hone your engineering and teamwork skills by playing Minecraft or WoW. On graduation, Game Academy will direct you to a local coding school.
Says Game Academy CEO Irina Agafonova:
Different genres of game call upon and sharpen different skills. Shooters: hand-eye co-ordination. Strategy games: resource management. RPGs: they’re are an amazing playground to challenge and practice your decision-making skills.
