Want to know more about the power of your game skills? Skill up for a new career by playing games?

Registration closes on September 10th for our unique Game Academy bootcamp that’s dedicated to the personal and career development of gamers.

The two-week programme includes analysis of your gaming profile like you’ve never had before, in-game and real-life challenges and a series of workshops with gamers who’ve brought their game skills to bear upon a very successful career in business and public life — from the creative direction of a games company to the foundation of a cloud computing company to running successful military and intelligence campaigns.

You can sign up for the Bootcamp until September 10th, when the course begins. https://gameacademy.co/

Schedule

10th September — Getting to know each other. Welcoming you to the Programme Discord server.

11–12th — Intro stream from Game Academy. Identify your skills and Learn by Playing Games.

13–14th — Topic 1. Understanding what you want with Bruce Grove, CEO at Polystream, ex Dell, Sun Microsystems, British Aerospace

15–17th — Topic 2. Set your vision and goals with Lee Hosford, former Infantry commander and now UK operational HQ, British Army.

18–20th — Topic 3. Get creative and discover more options with Jason Killingsworth, ex-Creative Director of Riot Games — Valorant, LoL — and now a publisher of a book on Dark Souls.

21–23rd — Labour Market. What’s out there for me and how to stand out?

24th — Bootcamp close.

All of the programme content, including workshops, streams and tasks will be delivered in a fun and easy way, to fit around family and work.

Since our focus will be on the games you play most, expect that you will spend some time actually playing, as part of the learning experience!

By the end of the Bootcamp, we hope you will have found a clear action path:

  • Figuring out the next steps you can take in your career
  • Finding relevant hard-skill courses and materials, as well as industry events
  • Looking critically at your own skill-set and in-game performance and using what you’ve learnt to advance yourself further
